about

This is the first track by the Arms of Someone New to feature Nick Rudd, who passed away in early May, 2020. This version is an outtake from the first AoSN cassette, released December 1, 1983, titled Significant Others. It was one of the first songs we recorded and we liked it enough to make it the B side of our first vinyl release a few months later, coupling it with The Holy Dance on the A side (the cover of which is depicted below). There aren't words to describe how great an inspiration Nick was, how creative he was, how musical, literary, artistic, how helpful, how giving. And there aren't words to describe how much he is missed nor to describe the legacy of music, live and recorded, he has left us, for which we are most grateful.

Formed in 1983 when Mel Eberle and Steve Jones started collaborating, occasionally teaming up with Nick Rudd, Glenn Graham, Tim Hanafee and others.
